Had a lovely stay! The breakfast was top-notch—too much for me to handle, but oh so good! The cozy feel of the pub made evenings enjoyable. Only downside, food service was a bit slow during busy times.

Bathroom cleanliness could be improved, with some noticing a tired appearance. A few power sockets missing for convenience, and one room had a strong ammonia smell from old carpet along with a musty coffee machine. Issues with shower temperature left some guests with no choice but to take a bath.

The Unicorn offers a freshly reopened atmosphere with modern decor. The staff is efficient and friendly, contributing to a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the offerings at the bar, specifically Draught Bass and Pedigree, both served in good condition. The traditional British menu appeared reasonably priced and looked appetizing. The location also provides ample on-site parking and proximity to the river for scenic walks.
The absence of a variety of room types may not cater to all needs.

The rustic charm of the buildings provided a nice ambiance, complemented by the friendly interactions with the staff, who made the experience enjoyable. The evening menu showcased square hamburgers that were pleasantly surprising in taste. noise disturbances from the nearby road and inconsistent shower pressure could be improved for a better stay.

Family friendly gem
The staff was super friendly! We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, the kids had fun outside. The roast dinner was absolutely incredible—seriously, my daughter who’s picky, she licked the plate clean and not for nothing, we were happy all around.
It wasn’t the cheapest place, but for what you get, totally acceptable.
